In a therapist’s office in a small Hudson River town, three humans struggle with love, loss, and longing. If only Estelle was manic depressive rather than A-typical; if only Maggie could escape her miserable parents to the city; if only Dr. Dan’s wife wasn’t so goddamn sick. And well, if only everyone wasn’t having so many complicated, unethical, nonsensical feelings! So much can happen and not happen in the course of a year it could make a person’s heart burst. A tragicomedy.
