Yackez is a musical duo of married couple Jon (writer/musician) and Larissa Velez-Jackson (choreographer/interdisciplinary artist) whose projects teeter on the edge of disciplines redefining community accessibility.Their performance is a selection of their experimental pop songs, joined by their two brightly-colored, plush mascots; who are portrayed by longtime contemporary dancers. Expect absurdist humor, poetic rhymes, catchy beats, and fun for all ages in a concert installation that invites the audience to join in a joyfully inclusive experiment.
