Prudence: Let’s Get a Cocktail Honey is an auto-ethnographic one woman play written from the Drama Therapist Tuesday Taylor. The play illuminates an Urban-Appalachian family during the 80’s – 90’s coping with the effects of intergenerational trauma, exacerbated by the unsolved murder of Jimmy Lee; transexual uncle. 

The “hillbilly-hood” family endured proliferous heart-ache: murder, suicide, addiction, incarceration; they mend their esteem through dark humor, sarcasm and unconditional love. Each character is inspired by the archetypal roles from Tuesday Taylor’s life experiences. The autoethnographic challenges empathy and compassionate from the audience while witnessing the “cracker chaos melo-drama”.
