Comfort Care is an original short tragicomedy that asks: Is hope overrated? How do we communicate when we can’t? And can we find joy in darkness? In a nursing home at the intersection of hope and not-hope, caretaker son Dave struggles to let go of his cantankerous mother Emily. He’s faced with the most important decision of his life. She’s been silenced by dementia. With the help of Nurse Maria, they attempt a final conversation to bridge their lifelong emotional rift. As always, Emily steals the show.
